Each Application in the System Automates a Function in Your Business Process
Required applications include:

Validation
The Validation application is required.
It runs unattended and applies business rules specific to your organization to work items. You must predefine business rules, but you can add, modify, or delete them as circumstances change. The application logs an error for each business rule a work item violates.
If a work item violates any business rule, then the application logs an event and sends it to the Exception application. If a work item does not violate any business rules, then the application logs an event and sends it either to the optional Tax application (if the system incorporates one) or to the Export application.
Because this application is automated, it lowers overhead, decreases errors, increases speed, and improves accuracy.
