The optional Delete feature allows users to delete work items from workflow. Users typically delete duplicate work items accidentally introduced into the system.

The system logs an event, marks the work item as deleted, and removes it from workflow.

If the system incorporates optional Notes functionality, then it also records a note, to which the user can add a comment.

Depending on the specific needs of your organization, you can purge, recover, or archive work items marked as deleted.
