Each Application in the System Automates a Function in Your Business Process Required applications include: Optional applications include: If your business process incorporates an image-management system such as FileNet, then optional applications also include: If your business process is for A/P, then optional applications also include:
The Tax application is optional, but available only if your business process is for A/P. It runs unattended and applies tax rules to work items. You must predefine tax rules, but you can add, modify, or delete them as circumstances change. The application logs an error for each tax rule a work item violates. If a work item violates any tax rule, then the application logs an event and sends it to the Tax Exception application (see below). If a work item does not violate any tax rules, then the application logs an event and sends it to the Export application. Because the Tax application is automated, it lowers overhead, decreases errors, increases speed, and improves accuracy. The Tax Exception application (included with the Tax application) provides a form that displays data for work items and a grid that displays tax rules they violate. The user can modify data and mark errors as resolved. For audit purposes, the application logs all data modifications. The user also can re-open errors previously marked as resolved or specify that certain types of errors be ignored. If your business process incorporates an image-management system such as FileNet, then the application also displays attached images. After the user resolves all errors for a work item, the application logs an event and returns it to the Tax application. Because the Tax Exception application requires no business knowledge, but only tax knowledge, it lowers overhead and reduces training costs by using less-skilled labor. We can build optional Security, Notes, Pend, Workgroup, and Search features into this application. |
