Scan
The Scan application is optional, but available only if your business process incorporates an image-management system such as FileNet.
It works with scanning hardware to create work items and attached images from paper documents.
After the application creates a new work item, it logs an event and sends it to the Index application.
Because this application converts paper documents to electronic images, it eliminates the risks, inefficiencies, and costs of passing paper among users, while improving controls, reducing uncertainty, increasing accountability, and decreasing fraud.
We can build an optional Security feature into this application.
Please do not confuse this application with the one included in the optional Rescan feature.
